Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on January 10, 2026.  Beloved husband of Jill Horwood (nee Glasgow).  Dear father of Matthew (Valerie) and John (Andrea).  Loving grandfather of Evelyn, Lauren, and Osmund.  Cherished brother of Diana, brother-in-law of Peter Casey, Frank McCarthy, Chris Winn, Richard Shannon. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Pre-deceased by sisters, Roslyn and Lorayne. 

A Montrealer at heart, he adored reading the Montreal Gazette, and was a huge fan of Les Canadiens. Brad had a zest for life and was a true family man, always seen wearing his Pomeranian shirt, puttering around the home in Elmvale, socializing at the Country Diner, or cheering on his boys at badminton tournaments back in the day!

With unwavering resilience, Brad showed that a stroke wouldn’t slow him down. He sang in three choirs and honed his Bridge playing skills, setting out in any four-wheeled ‘chariot’ he could find to get from here to there and back.

A heart of gold and unconditional love for his family defined who Brad was.

A memorial service will be held in the spring (details to follow).
