Shirley Anne Lorette Robertson (nee Culham)
September 16, 1936 - April 23, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Shirley Anne Loretta Robertson (nee Culham) in her 90th year. Shirley was predeceased by her beloved parents, Winnifred and Melville Culham, and her devoted husband, Ed Robertson. She was the cherished mother of four boys and is survived by her sons: Darrin, Dean (Tina), Doug (Lysa), and Donnie (Jennifer), all of Elmvale.
Family was the center of Shirley’s world. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren—Kelsie (Jeff), Jeremy, Ian, Sophie, Abbey, Nathan, and Cameron—and treasured every moment spent with them. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, K.C. and Owen.
In her younger years, Shirley was known for her vibrant spirit and many talents. She was a dedicated member of the Central United Church Glee Club and a champion bowler at the Minesing Bowling Lanes. As a busy mother on the farm, she worked side-by-side with Ed, assisting with chores while ensuring there were always warm meals on the table for her family.
Shirley was a woman of deep kindness and community spirit whose legacy will live on through the many lives she touched in the Elmvale and Minesing area. She was an active member of the Crossland Women’s Institute and the United Church in Elmvale. Many in the community will remember her as a part of the Crossland Caterers, where she helped provide delicious food for countless local functions. Her smile, laughter, and kind heart, along with her legendary pies and cheesecakes, will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Sara Vista Nursing Home in Elmvale for the care and compassion they provided to Shirley over the past nine years.
Friends and family may call at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home on Sunday, April 26th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
The funeral will take place on Monday, April 27th at St. John's United Church at 1:00 pm. There will be a visitation at the church from 12:00 pm until 12:45 pm.

Shirley will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
