Bob Dumais, born February 24th, 1936, died November 12th, 2025, passing away peacefully at GBGH. Bob was born in the wilderness of Northern Quebec to nomadic parents, who registered his birth at Rousseau, Quebec. He worked on the docks, unloading ships from all over the world, as well as truck driving and started his career in construction. He crossed Canada many times, either by rail or driving.
Bob made Phelpston his home in 1972 with his wife Evelyn. They settled making their home out of the old chicken coop. Bob worked as a handy man until 80 years of age. He made many friends of the people he worked for and helped. Many people marveled at his ingenuity and creativity.
Bob is pre-deceased by his wife Evelyn (d. 2010) and his daughter Mary-Lou (d.2018). Bob leaves behind 3 sons, Danny, Larry and Michael, and a daughter, Jeanette, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many friends and neighbours, and the Phelpston and Palace pool playing buddies.
