It is with heavy hearts that the family of Norman Dudley Morris of Orr Lake announces his passing on February 17, 2026. Norman, known by many as Norm, passed away with family by his side in his 92nd year.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Elsie Morris, sister Mildred (Ronald) Bentley, and brother Vernon (Patricia) Morris
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Sandy Daykin, son Wayne (Helen) Morris, and daughter Brenda McGill. He will be dearly missed as “Grampy” by his grandchildren Shane (Lisa) Morris, Holly Morris, Jenny (Alex) Mestre, Robyn (Jon) Daykin, Jonathan (Shannon) Daykin, and Joel Hudell. His eight great-grandchildren will grow up learning about his legacy and how he was a pillar of his family. Norm will also be remembered by his nephew Barry (Mary Louise) Bentley, his niece Pam (Paul) Peca, their children, other close family, and his neighbours.
Norm had a very full, happy life. He fondly remembered the days starting out on his family dairy farm outside of Cookstown. From there, he moved to Toronto, working hard to give his family a great life. Norm and Elsie turned the family cottage on Orr Lake into their retirement home, which became the gathering place for their family for many years. Norm will be remembered for always putting his family first.
A celebration of life for Norm will be held at a later date.
