It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, friend, and neighbour, on October 1, 2026.
Born in Thornbury, Ontario, on August 24, 1942, she went on to graduate from the University of Toronto as a physiotherapist. While working in Toronto, she met her husband, Frank, and together they built a life and family.
She dedicated much of her career to helping others. For 25 years, she worked as a physiotherapist and later in management at Northwestern Hospital in Toronto. Later, she chose to work part-time with the Arthritis Society, providing care through clinics and home-care services in both Toronto and Simcoe County. Her compassion, strength and desire to help people were qualities that remained with her throughout her life.
At the age of 65, she made Tiny Township her permanent home—a place she truly loved and where she created a wonderful life for herself.
She found happiness in the simple things: birdwatching, nature tours at Wye Marsh, performances at the theatre, the annual garden tour, and especially her daily walks with the Wymbolwood Beach ladies. She loved nature, her community, and the beauty of life in Tiny.
For the last four and a half years, she called Tiffin House home. There, she formed meaningful friendships with both residents and staff and became part of another community that was very special to her.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, she was an amazing mom to Brian (Shridevi), Laura (Jeff), and her stepdaughter, Amy, and a cherished “Gram” to her beautiful granddaughter, Zoë.
She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and the many people whose lives she touched over the years.
She was an inspiration—a strong, caring and truly wonderful woman. We were incredibly fortunate to call her Mom and Gram.
She loved Tiny, and Tiny became part of who she was. It is fitting that this beautiful place she loved so much will forever hold her memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Arthritis Society Canada.
Arrangements for a celebration and remembrance of her life will be made for the summer of 2027.
