March 2 1926 – April 20, 2026

Freida Joan Carson (nee Langman) passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on April 20, 2026 in her 101^st year.  Predeceased by her husband, Clarence Carson, and daughter, Valerie Carson, she is lovingly remembered by daughters Elinor (Robert) Riegler and Louise Carson; also by her grandson, Stephen (Heather) Riegler.

Joan was born and raised on a farm near Elmvale, ON.  She had a love for music and studied piano and singing. She became a music teacher of students in her family home.  Because of her love of God, her focus was in the churches she attended as pianist, organist, choir leader, and a member of the United Church Womens group.

Her marriage to Clarence brought her to the Anten Mills, ON area.  Besides raising her three daughters, she helped on the farm - milking cows, and helping with the field work. She kept a large vegetable garden and was a wonderful cook.

Joan was an easy-going person.  She was hospitable, and kind-hearted. She knew how to serve.  Joan was a ‘team player’, always ready to move a project forward by volunteering her time and effort.

Most mornings, throughout her life, Joan could be found reading her Bible, and praying for family, friends, and missionaries.  She regularly listened to Bible teaching programs on the radio.

Joan spent her final years at Sara Vista Long Term Care in Elmvale.  She received excellent care and kindness from the staff. The family extend our sincere gratitude for their service to Joan.
