Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on May 12, 2026. Peggy Toynton of Barrie in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Rex Toynton. Dear mother of Elizabeth Merino (Al Trail). Loved Grandmother of Sarah and Kyle Merino and Brandon Orellana. Sister of Christine Lee (late Mick) and pre-deceased by her sister Pat Hill (survived by Rod) in England. Peggy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 1-2 pm on Saturday, May 16. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2 pm.
Interment Elmvale Cemetery
