Passed away peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland, on Saturday, May 14, 2016, in his 93rd year. Howard Grier of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of the late Tephianne Grier. Dear step-father of William (Judy) Ritchie, Tim (Lorna) Ritchie, Pat (Jim) Thurlow, Gary Ritchie and father of Marlene (Ken Hill) Grier. Lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Will be missed by his sister Agnes Hiltz and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by son Ken and 9 brothers and sisters.
Throughout his lifetime Howard enjoyed a passion for horses and was known for traveling the back roads with his horse and buggy. He was a proud member of the 'Liar's Club' at his local coffee shop and took great pleasure in his hobby farm.
Friends may call at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Elmvale, on Thursday from 1 pm until time of the Memorial Service, in the chapel at 2 pm.
Interment Elmvale Cemetery.
