LEBLANC, SHARON MARIE

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Sharon LeBlanc, who left this world on May 19th, 2025 at the age of 64. Sharon passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, sister, auntie, friend, a talented hairstylist, and a fiercely independent woman whose presence made everyone around her feel safe and loved. Sharon had a heart for adventure, finding her greatest joy in exploring new places, with sun on her face, sand beneath her feet, and the ocean always calling her name.

Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on Feb. 22, 1961, Sharon had a strength and resilience that inspired everyone who knew her. She built a life on her own terms, always standing tall with grace and determination. As a hairstylist, she didn’t just make people look beautiful—she made them feel beautiful. Her kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor made her more than a friend; she was a source of comfort, always offering a listening ear and an open heart.

Sharon is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Shalaigh Kenney (Matt) and Leanna Gillespie (Ryan), and her five cherished grandchildren: Preston, Ellie, Quinn Kenney, and McKenna and Nate Gillespie. A devoted sister, she leaves behind Norma Langille (Bob), Carl LeBlanc (Judy), Grant LeBlanc (Lisa), and Gary LeBlanc. She was predeceased by her parents, Leon “Kelly” and Annie LeBlanc, and her cherished friend and brother, Ricky LeBlanc. Sharon was also a beloved auntie to many nieces and nephews, and a treasured great-auntie whose love and wisdom will live on in their hearts.

To her family and friends, she was our rock—our steady, loving presence and the one we could always rely on, no matter what. Her strength, warmth, and unwavering support will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of Sharon’s incredible life will be held on Saturday May 24th at the Elmvale Legion (upstairs) from 1 pm - 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Simcoe, in her memory.

Mom, your strength, love, and unwavering support made the world a better place. Though you are no longer by our side, you will always be in our hearts.

“She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails”.
