WEBB, WELLINGTON 'TONE'

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at The Villa Care Centre, Midland one day after his 93rd birthday. Beloved husband of the late Betty Webb (nee Hussey). Much loved father of Jane Scarff, Judy (Bob) Staruch and Greg (Sheila) Webb. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Andrew, Mathew, Foster (Anissa) and Sarah (Dave) as well as his great grandchildren, Isaac, Sophie and Adalyn. Cherished brother to the late Hilliard (Violet) Webb, Elmira Freeman, Jeanne Webb, Edward (Bessie) Webb, Lloyd (Jean) Webb, Fred (Grace) Webb and Orville Webb.

Dad was born and raised in Wyevale, a village he held near and dear to his heart. It was here that he began a career with his father and brothers as a builder. It was during this time he and his family built their beloved Wyevale Free Methodist Church. It was a small church with a small congregation, but Dad and his family were committed to keeping it going. Later Tone served as a Township of Tiny Police Officer and some years after that mom and dad opened Webb's Drive-In Restaurant, followed by Webb's Greenhouse. Running these businesses was pure joy for our parents. They so enjoyed the day to day interaction with the residents of Wyevale and our Tiny Beaches cottagers, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12th at Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Elmvale, from 11am to 1pm followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm.

Interment following the service at Wyevale Cemetery.

The family would dearly like to thank everyone at The Villa Care Centre for the love and support they showed to dad and our family.

If you would like to make a donation in his memory please consider The Canadian Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
