SPOTTISWOOD, CHARLES WILLIAM

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Charlie Spottiswood, at the age of 95. His mind was still sharp, but his body was failing.  He went peacefully, though still fighting, on May 22, 2025 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.  Beloved husband of the late Alice Spottiswood.  Dear father of William (Barbara) of Orr Lake, Robert (Robyn) of Gibbons Alberta, and the late Charlene (survived by Tom), Charles, and Richard. Grandfather of Christine, Adam, Alex, Douglas, and Daniel.  Great-grandfather of Shelbi, Maya, Thomas, Charlotte, Coen, and Ryerson.  Brother of George (late Evelyn) Spottiswood of Chatsworth. 

We would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at the hospital for their kindness and care over the last week.  We would also like to thank the incredible staff at Blue Mountain Manor Retirement Home in Stayner, where Charlie resided for the last 8 years.

Visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025.  Funeral service to be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 6 at 11 am with a reception to follow.

Cremation with interment in Glendale Memorial Gardens.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
