BANNERMAN, MERCEDES GENEVIEVE (nee MACDONALD)

Mercedes Genevieve Bannerman’s spirit left our world on Wednesday December 9, 2020 in her 79^th year.  More commonly known as Sadie (or Wendy to coworkers) or preferably Grandma to her 5 grandchildren (Corey, Jena, Cole, Claire and Chase) and great granddaughter (Madison).  Daughter of Mercedes and William of Phelptson, loving wife of Douglas and mother of William Brett (Anne), Connel Douglas (Barbara).  Survived by Frances, Shirley, Margaret, Ursula (Grant), Lorraine (Earl), James (Marj) and Bryan (Linda).

Always willing to bend your ear or be an active listener whether you wanted it or not.  Kindness was her credo and she always tried to make the world a better place than she found it.  If Sadie could ask one thing of us going forward it would be to please, be kind.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.  A funeral mass was held at St. Patrick’s Church in Phelpston, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date as world events allow.
