CAMERON, ROBERT EDWARD
The family announces with great sorrow the peaceful passing of Bob Cameron at home with family at his side on Sunday January 18, 2015 in his 74th year. Bob spent the past 16 months in a fierce battle with cancer. He fought hard right to the end, true to his character. Beloved husband and best friend of Edna (Besse) Cameron, and would have celebrated 50 years together later this year.
Loving and devoted father of, Janet Brewer (Robert Elrick), John Cameron (Tania), Joanie Cameron Pritchett (Grant), Jackie Parkin (Brad) all of Barrie; Frances Lahartinger (Andre) of Springwater, Rick Kane of Orillia and Jodi Paddison of Innisfil.
Proud grandfather of, Cassidy and Laura Brewer, Samantha and Lucas Cameron, Max and Taye Pritchett, Cameron and Ethan Parkin, Bryan (Teegan), Eric, Sonya and Christian Lahartinger, Phoebe Kane and Jesse and Jade Paddison (Kevin).
He also leaves behind one great grandchild, Kevin Paddison Kelly.
Survived by his best friend and brother, Alan Cameron (Carol) of Woodstock and lovingly remembered by sister-in-laws, Velma Becht (Bruce) of Barrie, Merle Cameron (Clyde) of Midland, Reg Watson (Peg) of Kingston, and brother-in-laws, Jack Besse (Ella) and Russ Besse (Karen).
Predeceased by his parents Vernon and Elizabeth Cameron, brothers, John (Liz), Bruce (Ida), Don (Carol), Clyde and sisters, Phyllis Hunter (George), Jeanne Fry (George), Ruth McIntosh (John) and Peg Cameron.
Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the many nurses from CCAC and Bayshore and we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Michael J. McConvey (Dr. Mike) for the dedication and compassionate care that he provided to Bob. His ongoing support and medical advice was invaluable and we are truly and forever grateful.
