Peacefully at Victoria Village Manor, Barrie, on Sunday April 13, 2014. Gladys Bate formerly of Elmvale, beloved wife of the late Tim, in her 99th year. Treasured mother of Patricia Turner (Frank Archer) and Sharon Bate (John McAlister). Dear grandmother of Jill (Bob) Maar and Tim Murray and great grandmother of Ryan and Stephen Maar and Cole Murray. Gladys will be missed by her sister Jean Grigg and sisters-in-laws Bernetta Norwood, Marg Moore and brother-in-law Cliff (Helen) Bate. Predeceased by step-brother David Moore. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and extended family; as well as by her neighbours at Edmore Beach and Holiday Out, Florida. Her family wishes to acknowledge the many acts of kindness, friendship, and support shown to them and to Gladys over the years. The thoughtfulness shown by Mary and Kay and the staff at Victoria Village Manor, Barrie will not soon be forgotten.
